Explore a unique gallery of paint and embroidery in abstract art.

I began my creative journey through pursuing music composition from a very young age and studied at SUNY Fredonia before realizing that to truly express I needed to look elsewhere for my creative outlet. When everything changed during the Covid-19 pandemic, I had nothing but time and found a new format of self expression through embroidery.

Embroidery is a trance-like rhythmic experience and I found myself stitching without any kind of predefined plan. What came out was my first piece, Primordia, from there I quickly realized that there were so many worlds of beautiful colorful micro-organisms to create and explore. Through the altered states of consciousness I experience during my process as well as my meditative practice I was able to experience profound depths of truth and emotion which I have attempted to capture and share as well through my work.

The freedom and paradox of slow deliberate abstract artwork has given me so much space to explore and develop. Progressing into new techniques and combinations of materials has allowed me to create images that I could not have imagined and experiencing the process of creating them brings out such joy and curiosity. I look forward to the new works I will create and mediums I will explore.
